First Methodist Church of Winnsboro
First Methodist Church of Winnsboro is a Bible-believing, Christ-centered, Spirit-led congregation committed to the historic Christian faith and the warm-hearted Wesleyan tradition. We believe the Scriptures are the inspired, authoritative, and unchanging Word of God. They do not shift with culture — they guide, correct, shape, and lead us into God’s truth.
We confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior — the Way, the Truth, and the Life — and we proclaim the Gospel that brings forgiveness, salvation, and new life to all who trust in Him. We believe the Holy Spirit is actively at work today: convicting hearts, transforming lives, strengthening believers, and empowering the church to carry out God’s mission in the world.
We believe in a life of holiness, shaped by grace. God not only saves us — He changes us, calls us, and sends us out to serve with love, humility, courage, and joy.

First Methodist Church of Winnsboro has joyfully joined the Global Methodist Movement — a growing, Spirit-filled, conservative Wesleyan movement committed to Biblical faithfulness and historic Christian doctrine.
We joined the Global Methodist Movement because we believe in:

Salvation comes through Christ alone, and every knee will bow to Him.

We believe in Spirit-empowered discipleship, holiness, prayer, and transformation.
4. A Biblical understanding of marriage and human sexuality
We affirm the historic Christian belief that marriage is between one man and one woman,
and that all believers are called to purity, holiness, and obedience to God’s Word.
5. The Wesleyan call to holiness and mission
We are committed to doing all the good we can, in all the ways we can,
to all the people we can, for as long as we can.
6. We welcome every person God sends to this church

We believe God has placed First Methodist Church of Winnsboro here “for such a time as this,” and we gladly stand with the Global Methodist Movement to lift high the name of Jesus Christ.
